Cookie policy & preferences

Effective date: 9 October 2026.

1. What cookies and browser storage do

Cookies are small pieces of information saved by your browser. We also use local storage and session storage to remember choices and support website features. This policy covers those technologies on www.canvasbackdrops.net.

2. Essential storage

Essential storage supports your account session, security, shopping bag, display preferences and the privacy choices you save. These features are needed to operate the website or provide the features you request. Essential storage stays available when you choose Essential only.

Your browser can block or clear storage, but this may sign you out, clear your bag or prevent checkout and other features from working correctly.

3. Analytics

Analytics is currently enabled by default. You can turn it off at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer.

When enabled, our website analytics records visits, traffic sources, searches, product interest, availability interactions and checkout or purchase activity. It uses a browser visitor identifier and a session identifier, with device and approximate location information. Signed-in visits can be associated with your account and viewed by authorized Studio staff as described in the privacy policy. The account association is removed from records older than 90 days by our retention process.

Google Analytics may also be used when configured. Its cookies and storage are managed by Google. Analytics is separate from the records we need to process and fulfil orders.

4. Advertising

Advertising is off by default and is activated only if you enable it. When configured, Meta Pixel helps measure advertising performance, including visits and purchase events. Meta may use its own cookies and identifiers under its privacy terms.

Enabling analytics does not automatically enable advertising. Advertising preferences do not subscribe you to email or WhatsApp marketing.

5. Storage duration

• Your privacy choices are saved in local storage until you change them or clear that browser’s storage.
• The website’s analytics preference cookie lasts up to 180 days and is refreshed when preferences are applied.
• The analytics visitor identifier expires after 180 days without renewal; visits can renew it.
• The analytics session identifier uses a 30-minute inactivity window and session storage.
• Other essential storage and provider cookies have durations appropriate to their purpose. Browser settings can shorten or remove them.

6. Change your preferences

Open Cookie preferences in the website footer to review your choices. You can enable or disable analytics and advertising independently, then choose Save choices. Choose Essential only to switch both optional categories off.

Changes apply to that browser. If you use another browser or device, or clear storage, you may need to set your choices again; the current default settings then apply. Switching analytics off clears our browser visitor and session identifiers and stops new optional analytics collection. Advertising withdrawal sends the configured provider a consent-revocation signal. Previously collected records and provider cookies are not automatically deleted; you can clear cookies through your browser and use the provider’s privacy controls.

7. Third-party services

Payment, courier and linked services may use their own storage when you interact with them. Their privacy policies apply to their services. Relevant information is available from Google, Meta and Paystack.

8. Contact
